Reviving Visegrad Cooperation through 3SI

Recap of our public event at the premises of the Three Seas Initiative Business Forum

30 April 2026

Business leaders from across the Visegrad Group (V4) countries and government representatives exchanged on the idea of revitalising the V4 cooperation by the governments.

At the sidelines of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Business Forum 2026 in Dubrovnik, Visegrad Insight, together with Allegro and the CEC Group, convened a roundtable discussion with business leaders, government representatives and institutional stakeholders from the V4 countries and Croatia, the country presiding over the 3SI in 2026.

The discussion centred on one key question: How could the V4 and the 3SI strengthen Central Europe’s influence on the EU’s competitiveness agenda?

Participants have highlighted V4’s proven, decades-long track record (e.g., coordinated energy security responses and early warnings on competitiveness and diversification needs) while acknowledging past political divergences that weakened the format in some capitals. They stressed that business voices can provide the pragmatic, non-ideological impetus needed to rebuild trust and momentum, particularly in Prague and Bratislava.

Special attention was given to the strategic opportunity of Slovakia’s overlapping Presidency in the V4 and hosting of the next 3SI Summit in 2027.
