Inspired by President Zelenskyy’s Internal Resilience Plan and the recent EU decision to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians until March 2027, this discussion will dive into how Ukraine is fostering unity among its 6.3 million citizens abroad.
From Unity Hubs offering integration and return support to economic incentives for repatriation, we’ll explore how these efforts balance national recovery with the needs of host countries facing political and economic challenges.
This discussion sets the stage for Visegrad Insight Future of Ukraine Fellow Valeriia Novak’s forthcoming article, where she analyses Ukraine’s Internal Resilience Plan and the strategic role of Unity Hubs in maintaining national cohesion and supporting repatriation
We’ll address critical questions: How can Unity Hubs support both integration and return? What role does Ukraine’s diaspora play in shaping its political future? And how can the EU and Ukraine collaborate to manage refugee flows amid growing war fatigue and potential ceasefire scenarios?
