This article is part of a 5-part series which covers the V4 governments’ plans to utilise the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) earmarked by the EU for reinvigorating the economies from the lengthy economic hardships imposed by the COVID-19 epidemic. Hampered by counterintuitive legislation and a plan that falls far short of the regulations required for funding, Poland faces an uphill battle of overcoming a lacklustre political will to capitalise on the green transformation.
Poland, by far the biggest economy in the region, has submitted a national recovery plan that targets 23.9 billion euros in grants and 12.1 billion euros in loans.
