While Orbán speaks about world affairs in Romania after Szijjarto visits Russia, Poland is struggling with energy security. This while the region deals with record inflation and continues to arm itself.
EU/regional:
A final warning has been given to Hungary following the lack of response to European allegations of obstructed rule of law in Budapest. Hungary is currently risking severe suspension of funds from the 2021-2027 budget.
On 26 July the Council of the EU will hold an awaited meeting on the security of energy supply in the EU with its focus on the upcoming winter.
