Poland’s election campaign is starting before anyone is ready to call it a campaign. There are signs that Donald Tusk may be shifting from managing the coalition to preparing for the next vote.
The clearest signal is Maciej Berek’s departure from the government – Donald Tusk is delegating his key legislative operator and preparing to place him in the Constitutional Tribunal. The timing matters, as the government steps up its political fight with President Nawrocki and the opposition while turning defence, SAFE funding and major military deals into campaign assets. The right-wing camp reshuffles create another opportune moment.
