How Dependent Is Europe on Ukraine’s Independence

September starts with EU budget talks. EU President António Costa will continue his tour, which he began in more amenable countries. The toughest negotiators – including Poland over the frugals – are left for the weeks ahead.
This time the CEE countries are in the spotlight, and the difference between policy executives versus policy advisors is apparent. Mario Draghi’s so-called Rhine Group to revive Europe’s competitiveness agenda largely excludes CEE countries, which have many success stories to share.
Shouldn’t we talk about where and why the EU succeeds, where CEE obviously plays its part, instead? Feel free to comment on my recent LinkedIn post and leave ideas that may guide our further editorial on the topic.
