How CEE Leaders Reacted to Ukraine Peace Plan Proposal

This week, the real opportunity for the EU is cooperation with Taiwan – not China.
Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa will head to China on Thursday for a summit that is unlikely to deliver major developments. The EU wants a more equal trade relationship as Beijing floods European markets, and China cannot afford to see Russia lose in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the European Democracy Shield heads to Taipei to meet with authorities and civil society. The goal is to exchange best practice in countering hybrid threats and strengthening societal resilience – against larger, antagonistic powers.
