Draught Attacks: “More than half of the Czech Republic has been hit by exceptional or extreme drought and the situation is likely to get even worse within the next few days. According to the project InterSucho, which is mapping the current state of drought in the Czech Republic, some 63 per cent of the country’s territory is currently affected, including the whole of Bohemia and northeast Moravia.” Radio Praha
New Museum Quarter: The Hungarian government is pushing ahead with their plans to create a cultural hub in one of Budapest’s most loved parks, Városliget. Critics of the plans have petitioned the government – going as far to try and unite opposition parties – in attempts to halt the development, though with little to show for their efforts. Viktor Orban promised the project will help Hungary reclaim “its past greatness and glory in the cultural sphere.” The Art Newspaper
