Event: Visegrad Insight Breakfast – Europe’s economic security
30 January 2025
22 October 2024
On 26 October, Georgians will decide their future in the parliamentary elections. Will they choose a stronger pro-European course, or will they continue to strengthen ties with Russia?
Join us on 29 October for an online discussion on the results of Georgia’s parliamentary elections! Will Georgia choose to embrace Europe or lean towards Russia? Can the divided opposition work together to defeat the ruling Georgian Dream Party?

Repeating misinformation narratives similar to those heard recently in Moldova, Georgian Dream warns that a victory for pro-EU parties could lead to potential conflict with Russia. In contrast, the opposition emphasises that the government’s autocratic policies are distancing Georgia from its goal of European integration and that a fourth consecutive term for the Georgian Dream would further increase dependence on Russia.
