For many years, Fidesz has cultivated the image as a party that upholds traditional and religious principles while simultaneously strengthening ties with Hungarians in neighbouring states.
The final votes are being tallied up in Hungary but Viktor Orbán has reportedly won a fifth term in office. Before the vote, Marco Németh went to Hungary to observe the situation on the ground.

Marco is a Slovak journalist, focusing on EU policies, democracy, Central Europe and foreign affairs. He was the youngest and most passionate activist in the 2019 European elections.
