Orbán’s Nationalists Want to Dance On Ukraine’s Grave

36% of Europeans say defence should be the EU’s prime focus to bolster its position in the world. While the EU has prepared for a major policy pivot in this domain, only part of it will be discussed in the European Parliament.
The new Preparedness Union Strategy gives European citizens a chance to partake in that defence by promoting public consultation and discussions.
This is in contrast to the REARM Europe plan, which involves Europeans via economic means but won’t be discussed in the European Parliament under Article 122.
