Marcin Król (1944-2020) was a historian of ideas, philosopher, one of the co-founders of Res Publika Nowa, its long-term Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of the Res Publica Foundation Board. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Rehabilitation of the University of Warsaw, was a member of the Batory Foundation Council and an author of books and journalistic pieces.
