How Post-Orbán Hungary Could Reshape the Western Balkans

Not long after Friedrich Merz proposed an ‘associated EU membership’ for Ukraine, Kyiv swiftly rejected the idea. Instead, Ukraine wants all six formal negotiation clusters to open in June. The plan for membership will be one of the pillars of the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) later that month.
Visegrad Insight surveyed our pool of fellows engaged in the topic to assess the ambition.
The full panel of answers has been delivered also as a policy input to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the preparation of the EU Accession pillar of the URC.
