Who will vote for European sovereignty? Join the public debate on 22 April at 6:00 PM in Assemblée Nationale, Room “7ème Bureau” in Paris. The event will convene experts from France, Latvia, Romania and Poland to discuss French and Central Eastern European perspectives on European sovereignty ahead of the upcoming EP elections.

This conference is based on a report, produced through a year-long strategic foresight program involving 10 partners and insights from over 150 policy influencers, explores potential outcomes and their implications for the EU’s democratic future and global influence. Specifically, the report examines challenges and opportunities related to democratic resilience, the Rule of Law, fundamental rights, and the EU’s role as a global actor. The report and this public discussion are carried out as part of a Europe for Citizens project co-financed by the European Commission. The project seeks to energise a forward-looking debate among civil society actors in CEE on the block’s key challenges and to identify and address the main threat perceptions.
