Religion in Poland is in Retrograde and Astrology is Taking the Reigns

The astrological charts look grim for the Catholic Church in Poland

21 January 2022

Catholicism is losing its grip on Poles. As trust falls, many are looking to their smartphones—and the stars—for answers.

The national census of Poland took place in 2021 with religion as a category. The country is known for being the most Catholic country in CEE and the most religious in the V4 with the church having a special status in every aspect of private and public life.

Will it turn out once again that to be a Pole is to be a Catholic, or will Poland join its less religious neighbours to the North and South? Contrary to popular belief, there is more nuisance to religion in Poland than first meets the eye, as people who claim to be believers are often closer to religious syncretism than to Catholic doctrine.
