Russians Go Home, Say Hungarian Voters

Ukraine-sceptic firebrand Robert Fico and his Smer party came first in Slovak elections on Sunday but well short of a majority as the new liberal Progressive Slovakia surged and centre-right parties held their ground.
Pro-Russian Fico is set to become Prime Minister, in a coalition with his former ally Peter Pellegrini, whose moderate leftist Hlas party came third, becoming a kingmaker in the new parliament.
Donald Tusk scrambled the biggest political demonstration since 1989 ahead of parliamentary elections on 15 October. Opposition supporters marched through the central streets of Warsaw on 1 October, doubling the numbers from a similar march on 4 June.
