Russians Go Home, Say Hungarian Voters

The Eurosceptic Law and Justice (PiS) looked set to lose power in Poland despite coming first in Sunday elections as the mainstream pro-EU opposition parties together would hold a majority in the lower house.
The result offers hope that after eight years of permanent friction between Warsaw and EU partners and institutions, Poland may return to the European mainstream at a time when the bloc needs unity to tackle challenges such as the war in Ukraine, migration, security and rewiring its economy.
