The government’s policy initiatives have been hijacked by minority factions, which have become decisive in shaping the country’s position on EU affairs. The United Right’s ruling coalition has 228 MPs in a parliament of 460 seats. It consists of the main PiS party (193 MPs) and several minor factions that got their MPs by being on the lists of the PiS party.
