Leaders Split on the EU Drone Wall – East and West

Viktor Orbán was one of the few European leaders left satisfied by the Alaska summit.
In his doublespeak, he celebrated the idea that ‘the world is a safer place’ after renewed Russia-US rapprochement, continuing his outward narrative of appeasement. At the same time, new data shows the extent of his government’s investment in the military industry.

Before the summit had even started, he declared that Russia had won the war and criticised Europe for being weak. Yet it is his actions that undermine the EU deliberately and leave him an outcast – while Europe embraces Zelenskyy.
