Renown photographer Chris Niedenthal examines how democratic values have changed in Poland over the past 40 years, and the challenges facing the increasingly disengaged younger generations.
Agnieszka Homańska recently sat down with Chris Niedenthal, the British photographer of Polish descent, a World Press Photo prize winner and one of the most respected photojournalists. He contributed to magazines such as Newsweek, Der Spiegel, Time and Forbes.
Agnieszka Homańska: Has your Polish-British background ever influenced the way you capture reality?
Chris Niedenthal: I always have a problem with this, trying to figure out whether I’m a British Pole or a Polish Brit. It’s a difficult, difficult question.
