Join us on 27 April 2022 at 3 PM for a presentation from Alison Goldsworthy who has been a political adviser and campaigner for more than twenty years. Her focus for the last seven years has been on polarisation, how to disagree healthily and bridge divides.

In her presentation Ali will be covering the following topics:

Why do we divide, is polarisation always a bad thing?

How messages and disinformation triggers societal polarization?

How it divides us between THEM & US?

What role are we likely to play in polarisation?

Alison Goldsworthy has been a political adviser and campaigner for more than twenty years. Her focus for the last seven years has been on polarisation – a theme explored in her debut book Poles Apart. A former Deputy Chair of the Liberal Democrats, she led the team that built the fastest-growing campaigning organisation in the UK. In 2017 she was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford, co-creating its first depolarisation course. A board member of the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust, and a Senior Research Associate at The Intellectual Forum, Jesus College, Cambridge. Alison has won numerous awards for her work.
