Romania remains one of the most susceptible countries in the EU to disinformation narratives. This discussion will center on the current state of disinformation in Romania preceding the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Alina Bârgăoanu, a Marcin Krol Fellow at Visegrad Insight and Dean of the College of Communication and Public Relations, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest and Marian Voicu, a journalist, documentary filmmaker and nonfiction writer who has worked in television and radio for over 25 years, will map out the current state of disinformation, assess its impact on the country, and discuss how this fits into the larger trends of rampant disinformation seen in Romania.

It is an online meeting held on Zoom on Thursday 28 April at 10 AM CET.
