Join our conversation with Vladimír Bilčík (Slovak MEP), Iveta Radičová (f. Prime Minister of Slovakia), and Wojciech Przybylski (editor-in-chief of Visegrad Insight), moderated by Mirek Tóda (Editor and reporter at Denník N), on the social and economic consequences of the war in Ukraine for Central and Eastern European countries and the EU.
The war against Ukraine is already having considerable economic consequences for the EU and the CEE — inflation or currency issues to mention just the most visible. It has also tremendously influenced the societal and demographic wellbeing of CEE and the larger EU.
The meeting will take place on 13 April 2022 at 18:00 – 19:15 in Bratislava ParkInn hotel, room Istropolis (Rybne Namestie 1) and is organised by Visegrad Insight, Res Publica Foundation (Warsaw, Poland) together with Dennik N, and co-funded by the European Parliament.
The discussion is part of a larger project on the topic of democratic security engaging Members of the European Parliament and offering solid journalism and open discussion in response to the deteriorating state of public debate, the lack of information sovereignty, limited trust in democratic institutions and political polarisation undermining support for democratic values in the region. It is supported by the European Parliament.
This discussion is an in-person event and is expected to last 75 minutes. The number of seats is limited – we therefore will accept only guests who have registered in advance.
To confirm your participation please fill in the registration form by EOB on 12 April 2022.
