President Biden’s long-awaited signing of a $60.8 billion aid package for Ukraine marks a critical milestone in bolstering the nation’s defence against Russian aggression, following months of delays and anticipation.
President Biden signed a bill into law providing $60.8 billion in support for Ukraine. This assistance has been delayed by six months, greatly affecting the situation on the front lines.
In the press conference that directly followed the signing, President Biden reiterated that the support the US is sending to Kyiv was for the security of Ukraine, Europe and the United States, continuing by saying the US will always stand with it’s friends and allies.
Biden went on to say the bill equips Ukraine with the support it needs to win, and praised the accomplishments achieved on the battlefield against a larger military.
